WHAT IS X-SENS ?
Xsens Technologies B.V., also known as Xsens, produces 3D motion capture products and wearables that utilises miniature MEMS inertial sensor technology. The company has developed intellectual property such as GPS, motion capture, and biomechanical modeling. Xsens is a new company, under Movella - a leading provider of 3D motion tracking products, formed by merging mCube, Xsens, and Kinduct.
Motion capture technology has various applications, including live events such as performances or presentations. In such events, a motion capture suit-wearing performer can control a virtual character or avatar in real-time,
creating an immersive and interactive experience for the audience. This was not previously possible, and it allows the audience to engage with virtual characters in new ways.
In video games, films, and other media, recording actors' movements wearing motion capture suits or markers can result in more natural-looking and realistic animations for characters. FrameMotion Studio is a partner company and currently the only distributor for Xsens.
